Welcome to the website of the Visa & Immigration Section of the Australian Embassy Moscow. Our office processes visa applications from nationals and legal residents of the following countries:

Counter hours are 9:00am to 12:30pm by appointment.

All clients are advised to email or telephone the Immigration and Visa section in the first instance to discuss their requirements. In many circumstances the assistance required can be provided by phone or email, without the need to make an appointment and attend the Embassy.

• On 16 July 2008, at 6pm we will be hosting a Skilled Migration Seminar at the Australian Embassy in Moscow. If you have any questions or you would like to know more about moving to Australia as a skilled migrant please send an email to immigration.moscow@dfat.gov.au and register for this event.
• Effective immediately visa applications by Georgian nationals may be lodged and processed at the Australian Embassy in Ankara, Turkey. For further information see the following website: www.turkey.embassy.gov.au
• On 1 October 2007, changes were introduced to the Australian Citizenship Act requiring applicants for Australian citizenship by conferral, to have successfully completed a test before making an application for Australia citizenship. • On 1 September 2007 some changes were made to the General Skilled Migration programme (GSM). For further information see http://www.immi.gov.au/skilled/general-skilled-migration/changes/index.htm
